PYD welcomes making peace deal with Turkey

Following recent comments by U.S. President Donald Trump on the readiness of Turkey and Syrian Kurds to have peace, a member of the Syrian Democratic Union Party (PYD) stated: "We, the Syrian Kurds, have been for peaceful solutions from the beginning," he said. "We have not adopted any hostile behavior against a country or a party."

The PYD member said in an interview with the BasNews news agency that "we are in favor of signing a peace agreement with Turkey". "The peace agreement can only be implemented if Turkish forces withdraw from the occupied areas in northern Syria and start negotiations on common interests. Our project is a peaceful life with all nations in the Middle East, equal living condition, creating an autonomous administration in the presence of all ethnics."

It is worth mentioning that Trump announced the readiness of Turkey and Syrian Kurds to sign a peace agreement.
