Nouri Mahmud denied, in a statement, the charges against the YPG that it was involved in the terrorist attack in the Kurdish city in northern Syria last week.
"On April 28th, 2020, a bombing was arranged by a tanker loaded with explosives," he said, adding that some factions have immediately identified the YPG as the perpetrator of the bombing, without any evidence or proof.
"YPG has had no connection to the terrorist attack in any way, and these charges and accusations are far from our forces," he added.
According to the latest data from local sources, 53 people have been killed and 167 others wounded in the bloody attack in Afrin. It should be noted that following the blast the Turkish Ministry of Defence issued a statement saying that the YPG forces were responsible for the terrorist attack and that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced Turkish forces have arrested the preparator of the bombing who was affiliated with the YPG.
