Dr. James Dorsi, a researcher at the Werzberg Institute, described the Kurds’s political change to the Syrian government is a new strategy to prevent Turkey attacks.
In an article released on the website of the Modern Institute for Democracy, he argued that the reason behind Kurds’ tasking refuge to the Syrian government is that the U.S. does not support Kurds against the Turkish attacks, stressing that while the Kurds played an important role in cooperating with the United States in the fight against the IS, Washington left them alone.
Dr. Dorsi stressed that Syrian Kurds expect Damascus to help them move away from the northern border with Ankara and prevent new attacks.
