A mass grave was found in a grotto in the Gulbaish cemetery in the Akiwal neighborhood of Dargit in Turkey's Kurdistan province of Mardin.
The grave, which the locals discovered, has a large number of human bones that are likely to be related to the killings of the 1990s, with many of the crimes left unresolved, according to the Mezopotamya news agency.
Arfan Yaghout a resident in Akiwal neighborhood told Mezopotamya that "we visited the Turkish prosecutor in Dargit. There are a lot of human bones and skulls in this grave. The bones fell on each other. There are at least 30 skulls in this grave. The bodies are believed to be related to the mass killings of the 1990s."
