Syrian Kurdish party says it is against party-affiliated forces

<p style="text-align: left;">Head of the Kurdish Democratic Day Party of Syria stated that the party is against the formation of an army in the Kurdish regions of Syria that is affiliated with political parties in the region.

The Americans have told Syrian Kurds that President Donald Trump and the U.S. Congress are calling for the unity of Syrian Kurds, Kofan Kaneu told Kurdpress in an interview.

Referring to the process of negotiations between the united Kurdish parties affiliated with Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Kurdish National Council (ENKS), the head of the Kurdish party told KurdPress that "the Democratic Day party is part of the Syrian Democratic Assembly (MSD), so our party joined the Kurdish National Unity after its formation.&rdquo;

He continued as saying that previously, the ENKS only intended to negotiate with the PYD and whenever its officials held talks with American or French representatives, they requested to negotiate with the PYD.

After the formation of the unity by twenty-five parties, seven individuals were elected to represent the Kurdish parties participating in the union to continue negotiations with the ENKS in the presence of representatives from the United States and France.
