The U.S. is better to sign a new agreement with Iraq that would allow US forces to remain in Iraq permanently and support the country in the case of the attack of a country on Iraq, a Washington Times article said about the security agreement between the U.S. and Iraq.
The paper proposed that the U.S. would deploy its forces and settle its military equipment in the Kurdistan region to reassure Turkey that Washington would control the attempts of the Kurds in Iraq to become independent and, therefore, the issue will not affect Turkey.
The author of the article noted that both Turkey and Kurds have ties with the U.S., but it should be noted that "they hate each other".
