According to the Shafaq News website, French Foreign Minister Jean Le Drian arrived at the International Airport of Erbil on Thursday evening and was welcomed by Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani.

Meanwhile, during his official visit, Le Drian is scheduled to meet separately with Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani to discuss the relationship between Paris and Erbil and the latest developments in Iraq, especially ties between the Kurdish regional government and the central government in Baghdad.

The French foreign minister arrived in the capital of Baghdad on an official visit on Thursday evening, where he met separately with President Barham Salih, Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.
