Speaking to KurdPress, Hassan Qassim, spokesman for the Syrian Kurdistan Civil Society Force, said that he has been informed that an agreement has made for forming a delegation in the talks between the two sides, adding that talks were continuing between the ENKS and the PYNK.
He continued: "We hope that these agreements will benefit our people and that the two sides will reach a strategic agreement for the interests of the Kurds in Syria."
The spokesman had told KurdPress earlier that "The talks between the two sides are good news and we support it, but the two sides have not yet reached a major agreement."
He also stressed that "the process of unity was not a project of the parties because there are many unresolved political issues between them. This project is an international demand that we believe will succeed.
Referring to the possible reasons for the success of the alliance between the two movements in Syrian Kurdistan, he said: "The international situation is sensitive and the two sides have concluded that they need a political authority in the Syrian-Syrian talks and the Geneva talks to negotiate with the Syrian and international parties. And there is a desire among the Kurds in Syria for this unity to be realized."
Hassan Qassim noted: "The United States and Russia, and Israel as well, have agreed to create a new Syrian opposition, because there is no such thing as a free Syrian opposition, and al-Qaeda, al-Nusra, the IS and other takfiri groups have taken the pulse of the Syrian opposition."
