<p style="text-align:left">A council of Russia's Foreign Ministry think tank says economic ties between the Syrian Kurds and the central government have not been severed despite political differences.

"The Syrian Kurds and the central government continue to have good economic relations," the think tank reported.
The think tank stressed that although Damascus does not recognize the Kurdish self-ruling administration, economic and financial ties between them have not been severed.
The author of the article, Igor Matov, noted that Damascus was willing to pay 400 liras per kilo of wheat to farmers in the Kurdish region of Cizre canton which is under the control of the Kurdish autonomous administration.
The report noted that the fact shows Damascus is willing to expand its trade ties with the Kurds before resolving the Kurdish issue in the country.
