However, Sinem Mohammad acknowledged in the interview that the Kurds could not count on the presence of countries such as the United States and Russia in Syria.
"Russia, the United States and even the French and the British are in the region," she said, adding that “we want to maintain our relationship with all these actors and the Syrian government. We know that all these actors are here for their own interests. We are aware of this. Russia is here for its own interests, not the people. We are in the middle of these interests.
The representative of the Syrian Kurds in the United States welcomed the presence of all international groups alongside the Syrian Kurds, including the disgruntled US Antifa Group, and said: "All of them sided with the Syrian Kurds in fight against terrorists and we do not look to see who they are; Are they Antifa or belong to other groups.
"We are working to resolve this issue in accordance with UN regulations. Leaders of the Syrian Democratic Council have vowed not to recruit children under the age of 18 as soldiers," Sinam Mohammad told the Salit newspaper in response to the issue of recruiting teenagers by Syrian Kurdish forces.
"We are facing a lot of problems due to water shortages and insufficient humanitarian support. To combat this disease, we have taken measures such as closing borders and preventing communities," she said, referring to an increase in the number of people infected with Covid 19 in the Kurdish-controlled area of Syria.
The representative of the Syrian Kurds in the United States announced the readiness of the Kurdish Autonomous Administration to negotiate with the Syrian central government to begin the process of political solution and decentralization of power, but she believes Damascus still has the mentality before 2011 and the mentality towards the Kurds has not changed.
Referring to US sanctions against the Syrian government known as the Kaiser Law, Ms. Mohammed called on Washington to exempt the Kurds from the sanctions.
She further blamed the withdrawal of US troops from northern Syria for Turkey's attack on the Kurds last year, saying "we had no choice but to appeal to the Syrian central government to save the lives of the people."
Ms. Mohammad announced the possibility of a complete withdrawal of US troops from the Syrian Kurdish-controlled area, but said that this withdrawal would probably take place after a political solution is reached in the area.
The representative of the Kurdish self-government in the United States warned about the continuation of attacks by the terrorist group of the ISIS, including its secret cells.
She also blamed the Turkish attack on the Kurds with the help of Syrian rebels and said the attacks led to the displacement of Kurds and their forced settlement in refugee camps, stressing that many criminal acts, including killing and abduction of people in the Turkish-occupied area, are taking place.
