According to Kurdpress, at around 22:20 on Monday, April 13, 2026, several unknown gunmen in a car opened fire at the headquarters of the NRT media organization in the city of Sulaymaniyah, and then fled.

It is said that the incident did not result in any casualties or material damage. Immediately after the attack, security forces arrived at the scene and began an investigation to find the perpetrators.

Hours later, the Sulaymaniyah Security Directors announced in an interview with NRT that the perpetrators of the shooting had been arrested and were now under interrogation. The motive and cause of the attack have not been announced at this time.
