Memorial ceremony for 49 PKK martyrs held in Diyarbakir

The Turkish Service - Association for Assistance and Solidarity with the Families of the Martyrs (MEBYA-DER) held a three-day memorial ceremony in Diyarbakir for 49 PKK members who lost their lives during the clashes.

According to Kurdistan Press, at the initiative of the Association for Assistance, Solidarity, Unity and Culture of Families Who Lost Their Relatives in the "Cradle of Civilizations" (MEBYA-DER), a mass memorial ceremony for the 49 PKK martyrs began in Koşuyolu Park in Diyarbakir's Office District.

The ceremony began at eight in the morning and pictures of the 49 martyrs were placed on the tables of the venue along with flowers.The families of the victims, party members in parliament, members and directors of political parties, representatives of civil society organizations and a number of citizens attended the ceremony.

The participants honored the memory of the PKK victims by playing the "Revolutionary Wheel" anthem and chanting slogans such as "Martyrs Do Not Die" and "Long Live Öcalan".

According to reports, group visits by citizens to the ceremony site continue throughout the day.

At the same time, ceremonies have also been held in six other locations in Diyarbakır province to commemorate the fallen PKK members.

The villages of Kabakhider and Arvali in the Razan region, Kyzlal in Farqin (Silvan), Purnag in Khana Akhpar (Chinar), and the Hula neighborhood in Basmal are among the places where memorial services will be held.The ceremony will last for three days, and after the mourning period ends, a special program will be held to commemorate the PKK victims.
