According to Al-Ma'loumeh news agency, Tavge Ahmed stated in this regard: "The dispute over the presidency will last a long time, especially considering the existence of "a crucial third" in the country's political process," but in the end, Barham Saleh will get the vote of confidence from the parliament.
Tavge Ahmed added: "The PUK is still on the scene as a strong competitor due to having this post in the past 15 years. On the other hand, the candidate nominated by it is more popular than the KDP candidate and the candidates of the other political movements.
Ms. Ahmed, also a member of the Change Movement (Gorran) pointed out that the parliament will fail in the first and even the second session in selecting the presidential candidates and will have to hold several sessions to end the dispute over the presidency, after which the next government will be formed.
It should be noted that the Movement for Change and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan formed a single coalition in the recent Iraqi parliamentary elections, but none of the candidates from the Movement for Change entered the new parliament.
