Iranian FM Zarif, Bashar al-Assad discuss regional developments.

<p style="text-align:left">Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his entourage conferred with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on issues of mutual interest along with regional developments.

Both sides underlined that mounting pressures exerted by some western countries on Syria and Iran leave no impacts on the principles and values of both nations.
They cannot separate Iran and Syria to target regional security and stability, they said in the meeting on Monday.
Employment of worn-out policies and exertion of pressure over Damascus and Tehran indicates the failure of their conspiracies as both Iran and Syria will withstand against them, Zarif said.
According to IRNA the two sides also examined the latest regional developments ahead of upcoming trilateral meeting between, Russia, Iran and Turkey.
Before the meeting, Zarif met Syrian foreign minister and Syrian prime minister.
The Iranian FM arrived in Damascus on Monday for a one-day tour to Damascus.
