The pair also exchanged views on the underway process of formation of a new Iraqi government, half of which have already been approved last week, Barzani's Office said in a statement.
Both sides underlined the significant role of the Kurdistan Region in establishing a new cabinet in Baghdad, the statement added.
They also shed light on the ongoing peaceful dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad in hopes of resolving the remaining disputes between the sides.
During the meeting, Barzani and Russian top diplomat, who was accompanied by a delegation, additionally had talked about the historic relations between Erbil and Moscow, hoping that their commercial, agricultural, industrial, educational, and trade ties would be further strengthened.
