Iraqi Kurds urging for canceling US Sanctions

<p style="text-align: left;">Iranian Consul General in Sulaimani pointed out that the sanctions would not affect Kurdistan Region's economic relations with Iran, saying that Kurdistan people are urging to cancel such sanctions.

In an interview with local networks in the region, Sadullah Maoodian said: &ldquo;Iran's economic relations with Kurdistan Region are directly linked to the interests of the people of the region, because of this today the Iraqi people are calling for an end to the American inhuman sanctions.&rdquo;

Regarding the Iranian aid to resolve the differences in Baghdad and Erbil, he said, &ldquo;The Islamic Republic of Iran has already done a great deal to resolve the differences between Erbil and Baghdad, and it is important for Iran to end these tensions and disputes.&rdquo;

The Iranian Consul General in Sulaimani emphasized that strengthening of relations and contacts of Erbil and Baghdad would have a direct impact on the security of the region and strengthen the integrity of the Iraqi soil.

Recently, during the visit of the Economic Advisor to the First Deputy President of the Republic of Iran to Kurdistan Region, Iraqi Kurdish businessmen called for continuation of relations and solving obstacles, stressing the strategic relations with Iran.
