At a ceremony for books by the Barzani Movement in Erbil, the KDP leader said with the crisis that exists, terrorists are still active in the country.
Barzani spoke on the disputes between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the federal government, saying it would be a positive development if Baghdad was serious about reaching an agreement with the KRG based on the constitution.
"It is not acceptable if [the federal government] makes decisions based on their mood,” Barzani stated.
He said that the outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad need to be solved through understanding and agreement, he said that the only achievement of war is destruction.
"War is bad, surrendering is worse, we will not surrender,” Barzani said.
