US declares support for Syrian Kurdish unity talks

The US Embassy in Damascus tweeted its support for the Syrian Kurdish unity talks. <br> The United States has said it supports the Syrian Kurdish talks and expects them to continue.

The US Embassy in Damascus posted a message on its Twitter account in three languages: English, Arabic and Kurdish, expressing its support for the talks.
"The United States supports the ongoing Kurdish negotiations and expects tham to be continued," the tweet said.
Elsewhere in the message, it expresses hope that "these talks would support and complement the broader political process under UN Security Council Resolution 2254 to ensure a brighter future for all Syrians."
It should be noted that in the Kurdish version of the message, which is the third version of the message and unlike the English and Arabic versions, it has pointed to the talks as "Kurdish-Syrian" negotiations.
Negotiations for Kurdish unity began at the suggestion and by support of the United States, as well as the support of Mazlum Kobani, commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and now continues between the two major Syrian Kurdish movements of the Kurdish Patriotic Union Parties (PYNK) and the Syrian Kurdish National Council (ENKS).
