Expert say upcoming Turkey military attack on Efrin very unlikely

<p style="text-align: left;">Two political experts who study on the Middle East have expressed their doubt over any possible Turkey attack against Efrin Canton in the Kurdish regions of Syria and stated that Russia is trying to deescalate the situation in the region.

Turkey has deployed its forces to its border with Efrin on border with Turkey and has warned to attack the canton, claiming that the canton is a threat to Ankara&rsquo;s national security.

Uyton Orhan, an expert that is working on Syria and the Middle East, has told Arab News that Russia would not let Turkey to attack Efrin and will offer Ankara a midway solution, adding that Moscow would ask the Kurdish forces in the region to leave it so as Syrian forces would replace them.

Meanwhile Mete Sohte Oglu, another political expert, believes that Russia would try to convince both the Peoples&rsquo; Protection Units (YPG) and its umbrella organization, the Democratic union Party (PYD), and would lessen their demands.

He ultimately added that the PYD would face a military attack if it denies the offer.
