U.S. should not remain silent on Turkey attacks, Jizre canton PM tell Kurdpress

<p style="text-align: left;">The prime Minister of the Syrian Kurdish Canton of Jizre told Kurdpress in an interview that the Kurdish forces in the north of Syria would respond strongly to any possible Turkey attack against the Kurdish regions in the north of Syria, adding that the U.S. should not remain silent if Turkish forces launch attack against the regions.

He stressed that the Kurdish forces defeated the international terrorist group of the Islamic State (IS) and therefore would defeat Turkey as well.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan declared on Wednesday that he would launch an operation within days into northeast Syria, where some 2,000 US troops stand alongside the SDF. He said the target was not US soldiers.

Abdulkarim Saroxan stated in the interview about Erdogan threats that the Turkish president&rsquo;s threats are serious and we consider them dangerous since the threats are not new and &lsquo;we have been repeatedly invaded and threatened by Turkey in the past 7 years.&rsquo;

He added that Turkey has put into action its threats as it did in Afrin in northern Syria and divided that part of the country.

The threats are being continued today and we are perfectly ready to respond the threats, Saroxan went on to say.

Erdogan would be defeated in the possible attack. We defeated the IS international terrorist group and would defeat Turkey incursion into Syria, the PM added.
