Trump shocked us, our ties with US is tactical: Syrian Kurdish official

<p style="text-align:left">The co-chair of the Euphrates Internal Parliament told Kurdpress in an interview that the U.S. President Donal Trump&amp;rsquo;s decision to withdraw the forces of the country from Syria has shocked the Syria Kurdish forces.

Bozan Xalil told Kurdpress that the Syria Kurds are determined to go ahead with their political project in northern Syria, stressing that the goal of the Democratic Nation Project in the north and Eastern part of Syria is to establish a peaceful and democratic society.

The crisis in the Middle East, in Syria in particular, is continuing as it has turned into a tension between regional and world powers, he said and claimed that the U.S. and Russia have brought their war into the north of Syria.

Xalil further told Kurdpress that the Kurds&rsquo; tie with the U.S. is tactical and temporary and stressed that the main goal behind the cooperation is to defeat the terrorist group of the Islamic State (IS).

He further added that they had stated earlier that the U.S. would quit Syria one day but stressed that the early and quit withdrawal of the forces is a wrong decision which has created tensions between U.S. officials.
