Iraqi parliament speaker due in Tehran

<p style="text-align: left;">Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri left Baghdad for Tehran on Monday, December 18, to attend IPU Palestine Committee meeting, where parliament speakers of Iran, Iraq, and Mali participated in the committee meeting.

The event is underway due to the recent developments about Palestine following US President Donald Trump&rsquo;s December 6 announcement to recognize occupied Beit-ul Moqaddas as the capital city of the Israeli regime.

The US president&rsquo;s Dec 6 announcement to recognize Beit-ul Moqaddas as the capital city of Israel has faced extensive criticisms all over the world even from the US allies.

According to IRNA Al-Jabouri is also scheduled to hold talks with Iranian officials on recent developments in Holy Quds.

The OIC emergency meeting convened on December 13 in Turkey in which the member-states underlined recognition of Palestine State with the Eastern Quds as its capital.
