New Generation leader blames corrupt politics in Kurdistan Region

<p style="text-align: left;">The Leader of the New Generation movement, Shaswar Abdulwahid, lashed out at the corrupt politics in Kurdistan Region which has led into the economic and political crises in the region.

He told Kurdpress in an interview that the leading parties in the region solely worry their own interests and are seeking their interests without having any concerns about the life of the people and the future of the region.

Abdulwahid stated that the leaders of the region have been leading the region due to international developments after the occupation of Kuwait by Iraqi Baath Regime and then they, therefore, took the control of the region.

The leader blamed the Barzani and Talabani families for the situation in the region and stated that they have sabotaged the wealth of the region.

He promised that his movement would fight against corruption and would return the rights of people to them in case his movement takes power in the region and will not accuse others only on the base of media accusations that the region politics is suffering from.

Answering a question about the failure of his movement and the other opposition blocs to form a united opposition in the region, he stated that his movement has always called for the formation of a strong opposition front but the other blocs are, unfortunately, busy with their meetings with the ruling parties and are seeking to take part in the government.

The movement leader further told Kurdpress that his movement does not believe in participating in a government that is led by the corrupt ruling parties, adding that New Generation does not hope there will be any changes in the region as long as the two parties are leading the autonomous region.
