Masoud Barzani stressed Kurdistan Region is an indivisible part of Iraq: Iyad Allawi

<p style="text-align: left;">The Leader of Iraq&amp;rsquo;s National Alliance, Iyad Allawi, stated that the Leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Masoud Barzani has stressed the Kurdistan Region is an inseparable part of Iraq and that he will help the Iraqi government in the case of a possible war between Iran and the U.S.

According to Shar Press, Allawi stated that Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi has asked him to mediate between the Iraqi government and Barzani for resolving tensions between the Kurdish region and Baghdad, in particular oil and Barzani&rsquo;s cooperation with Abdul Mahdi&rsquo;s government, adding that he made the recent visit to Erbil within the request.

Allawi added that he told Barzani that Baghdad intends to export its oil to Turkey and build feed store houses in the Kurdistan Region in case of a possible war between Iran and the U.S., adding that Barzani has agreed with the request and a delegation from Baghdad will visit the region to discuss the decision.

Allawi also told al-Sumeryeh TV that Barzani has expressed his readiness for participating in meetings with Iraqi officials and leaders in Baghdad and has reiterated that the Kurdish region is an inseparable part of Iraq and he will do all his best to help the government in Baghdad if a war breaks out between the neighboring country Iran and the U.S.

Allawi further added that U.S. officials have told him that they are in talks with the remaining members of the toppled party of Baath in Iraq, refusing to give further details in this regard.

The Iraqi official reiterated that he would not participate as a candidate in Iraq elections as, according to him, Iraq Election Commission is weak and suffers from the necessary power it should have.
