Turkey completes half of wall on border with Iran

<p style="text-align: left;">Turkey has completed construction of half of a 144-kilometer-long wall along its border with Iran in order to stop illegal crossings, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported on Saturday.

Turkey would complete the rest of the wall in the first half of 2018, Ergun Turan, chairman of the Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKI), said.

According to Anadolu fifteen border gates will also be built along the wall, a three-meter-high barrier with portable blocks.

TOKI also constructed a 688-kilometer-long wall on the border between Turkey and Syria.
