Abadi stated he had no problem with Kurdish citizens in Iraq but he has problems with some ruling parties in the region.
He told the AFP that some ruling parties in the autonomous region are controling its oil and wealth and that's the problem as it is not clear where they are spending the wealth.
He claimed that the region's oil export is twice th amount Baghdad and Erbil have agreed over.
Abadi further stated corruption has increased since he has left power and posts are being bought and dealt over.
The former PM ultimately warned about the Islamic State (IS) re-emergence in Iraq.
