Only Iran can settle Erbil-Baghdad disputes: Mahmoud Osman

<p style="text-align: left;">Iraqi prominent Kurdish politician Mahmoud Osman reiterated on the importance of the visit Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani made to Tehran and underscored that only Tehran can settle the disputes between the Kurdish region and the central government in Baghdad.

Osman told the official website of the KDP that Iran is an important country in the region and enjoys a big role in Iraq, adding that Tehran can settle the differences between Erbil and Baghdad and pave ways for negotiation between the two governments in Iraq.

Osman went on to add that Ali Shamkhani, chief of Iran’s Supreme Council of National Security, expressed Tehran’s readiness to help easing ties between Erbil and Baghdad.
