Speaking with al-Ghad daily, Jabouri stated that he is a candidate for Iraq’s upcoming parliament election and is eager to be elected as parliament speaker for another four years, clarifying that the move depends on political deals in Iraq.

He went on to add that his re-election for the post depends on political agreements in Iraq, adding that he can choose to work in other sections in Iraq.

Jabouri did not rule out foreign interventions in Iraq and the upcoming elections, underlining that prime ministry will be hard to be taken by other Iraqi sides a s Shiite will have the post for years from now.
