Sulaimani governor arrives in Kurdistan province

The governor of Sulaimani, Iraqi Kurdistan, arrived in Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan province in northwestern Iran, to meet with the officials of the province, participate in an economic conference and attend the inauguration of several tourism projects in the province.

Hawal Abu Bakir, the governor of Sulaimani, arrived in Kurdistan province on Sunday, May 23, at the head of a delegation, and was welcomed by Bahman Moradnia, the governor of Kurdistan province, at the Bashmaq border in Mariwan.
After visiting Mariwan Governor's Office, Abu Bakir traveled to Sanandaj (Senna in Kurdish) and is scheduled to meet with senior provincial officials on Monday
He is planned to inaugurate several cultural and tourism projects in Sanandaj, including the Iranian Park, a Zip Line and the Abidar Suspension Bridge project in the afternoon on the same day.
Sulaimani governor will pay a visit to the 22-meters- tall Resistance Statue, the tallest in Iran, on the Abidar Forest Park in Sanandaj. The statue is the symbol of the resistance of the Kurdish people.
On Tuesday, Hawal Abu Bakir and his entourage will travel to Baneh, in the north of Kurdistan province, to attend an economic conference in Laleh Hotel where a number of Iraqi Kurdish investors and Iranian officials will attend.
Visiting Baneh Special Commercial Zone near Siranband border has also been announced as an other travel plan by Hawal Abu Bakir and his accompanying delegation.
