KRG delegation to visit Baghdad for talks on disputed areas

<p style="text-align:left">A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will visit Baghdad on Tuesday to meet with counterparts and discuss a range of issues pertaining to the areas disputed between Erbil and Baghdad, an official said.

The delegation, led by Minister of State Khalid Shwani, will discuss farm lands of the Kurdish farmers in the disputed areas, BasNews reported.
Since the return of the Iraqi army to Kirkuk and other disputed territories, Arab families, who were returned to their areas of origin after receiving compensation, were brought back to the Kurdish areas to claim ownership of the farm lands which originally belong to Kurdish villagers.
KRG Representative to Baghdad, Faris Issa, told BasNews that the Kurdish delegation will discuss the matter with Iraq&rsquo;s ministries of agriculture and justice while in Baghdad.
