It is out of KDP will to make and resolve crises in Kurdistan Region: senior official

<p style="text-align: left;">The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) faction in the Kurdistan Parliament says the Kurdistan region faces a number of crises and it is out of the control the party to make the crises or stem them out.

Omid Khoshnaw stated in an article that in the past all ways to resolve the crises in the Kurdish region have been tried out and there is no better way for a people of the region than brotherhood and peace and understanding, according to the Zeman-Press website.

He added that the global problem of the prevalence of the coronavirus, on the one hand, has put pressure on the region. On the other hand, like any other oil-rich region, the drop in oil prices has a direct impact on the economic situation of the region. Meanwhile, Baghdad has suspended the budget of the region which has had a negative impact on the lives and livelihoods of people and the businesses in the region&rsquo;s markets.

The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) faction in the Kurdistan Parliament further emphasized that "we are not facing a crisis; we are amid a few crises. We have not had any role in making any of these crises, and they are beyond our will."

"Despite all these crises, we are adding more crises and problems through the media war and the destruction of each other, and this has had a negative impact on the psychological peace of the people of the region," Khoshnaw said.

The KDP official also noted that the people of the region have shown resilience in all crises, but they cannot tolerate and accept internal differences.

Khoshnaw further stressed that the best thing to do for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr is to take into account the psychological comfort of citizens and respect their demands and learn from the past and stop media attacks against each other as the future of unity and reconciliation is clear and conflict and attack against each other will make an ambiguous future.
