In a message marking the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Massoud Barzani congratulated Muslims in the world, Iraq and Kurdistan, as well as region’s health cadres and Peshmerga forces, BasNews website reported.
He pointed out that the Kurdish region, due to the prevalence of coronavirus pandemic, Iraqi political crises and the adverse economic situation in the country and the world, has been in a difficult and sensitive position and called on all the political movements in the region to feel responsibility to overcome the challenges and overcome this situation, and take the path of peace, brotherhood and unity.
Barzani called "all political parties to solidarity with each other and work towards addressing the problems of citizens and removing obstacles in front of the people of Kurdistan, instead of trying to make inter-ethnic differences and overthrow others."
He added by saying, "On this blessed occasion, we wish happiness to all the dear citizens of Kurdistan, and we pray to the Great God to accept the worship and fasting of all Muslims, for this holiday becomes an occasion for the end of terrorism and suffering along with the return of safety and calm to all humanity."
