In a statement, the ministry said air strikes were launched in Haftanin, Avashin, and Zap regions.
The PKK, considered a terrorist organisation by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, fights for autonomy in Turkey’s largely Kurdish southeast since 1984. The organisation also has fighters based in Kurdistan region.
