PKK is a guest and must leave Kurdistan Region: party official

Dark days are ahead for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), if no limit is set for the PKK's ambitions and activities in the Kurdistan Region, a member of the political school of the Kurdistani Union Party in Syria (PYKS) told KurdPress in an interview.

Fuad Alikou pointed to the disputes between the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and said that the Kurdistan Region is a part of Iraq and "for this reason, neither the PKK nor any other Kurdish party has the right to claim ownership of the region and establish a military base there."

He continued: "The PKK's area of activity is Turkey and it must return there, and any claim about the Kurdistan Region by the PKK is false and unacceptable."

"The dispute between the KDP and the PKK is not related to today, and there was a conflict between the two sides before, and this is due to the inappropriate actions of the PKK," the Kurdish politician added.

The member of the political school of the Kurdistani Union Party in Syria (PYKS) further stated: The leaders of the two sides should sit down to talk with each other and set a limit for the PKK's activities.

Fuad Aliko pointed out: If this does not happen, there will be dark days in front of both sides.
