Commander says US-led coalition fully supports SDF

A US Lieutenant General announced the anti-ISIS coalition's full support for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and said that it would continue to work with the group until the return of ISIS families to their home countries.

On behalf of the International anti-ISIS Coalition, Lieutenant General Paul Kalworth reiterated, at the annual meeting of the Military Assembly of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the coalition's full support for the SDF and said it would continue to do so until the ISIS is completely eliminated.

"I am honored to be present and speak in the presence of those from the region that have fought against the ISIS. The territorial domination [of the ISIS] ended with the participation of the SDF," he said at the annual meeting.

"We had significant achievements last year. We worked together to protect civilians. We supported the SDF in its operations against ISIS, especially in Hool Operation. The SDF has increased the security of the prisons and prevented the escape of ISIS members. We want to implement different projects to prevent ISIS attacks against our partners. One of these projects is the regulation and institutionalization of prisons," Calvert said, adding that the coalition would continue until the complete elimination of ISIS in cooperation with the SDF.

He noted that they have informed, in recent months, the European community about the events in the region, the situation in the camps and the economy of the region.

"We will continue to work with the SDF to eliminate ISIS completely," said Paul Calvert, stating that the coalition fully supports the Syrian Democratic Forces.

On behalf of the coalition forces, he thanked the people of the region who showed their selfless resistance against ISIS and stressed that they will continue to work until the families of ISIS members are accepted in their country. Stating that the fight against ISIS is an honor for the SDF.

The US general stressed that "the solidarity of the United States and the international community will continue with the SDF."
