Referring to the possibility of the US withdrawing from Syria, as in Afghanistan and Iraq, Abdullah Imam, head of the media for the Kurdistan Freedom Movement (ŞAK) in Syria added that "The situation in Syria is a special situation. The Syrian crisis is not over yet, no political solution has been found for Syria, and the US plans in Syria have not been implemented, so the presence of American troops in Syria is necessary for the United States."
Mr. Imam stated that if you pay attention to the US State Department statements, US officials have repeatedly stated that "the war against ISIS and terrorism in Syria is over and there is a need for security and calmness in the liberated areas. Establishing peace in Syrian Kurdistan also brings peace to the northern and eastern regions of Syria."
He added: "For this purpose, the United States is present in the Kurdish-Kurdish negotiations as a guarantor, and as long as the PKK is affiliated with the PKK, no one will negotiate with this group. Currently, the PKK in the US-Europe terror list and no one is negotiating with its affiliated groups, so the United States is serious about concluding Kurdish-Kurdish talks and severing the PYD-PKK relationship with the Kurdish-Syrian administration."
