In the meeting on Monday, August 2, Ismail praised the role and work of America and the military advisers of that country in their support and co-operation for Peshmerga forces and succeeding the reform process in Peshmerga ministry.

In another part of the meeting, the minister warmly welcomed the recent strategic discussion between Iraq and America in which the Kurdistan region’s representative and the Peshmerga ministry have participated in it, which proves US commitment to this duty and sincere work in the protection of security and stability in the region and Iraq, PUKMedia reported.

For his part, the American Consul-General in Erbil announced that it will continue the support, and help the Iraqi government, regional government and Kurdistan Peshmerga forces to confront terrorism and protect the security and stability of the area.
