Kurdistan Region plays important role in resolving Iraq problems: envoy

The representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Tehran stressed that the region plays an important role in resolving regional issues and problems in Iraq.

About the upcoming visit of Nechirvan Barzani, the Kurdistan Region President, to Tehran, Nazem Dabbagh told Rudaw that Barzani would a high-ranking delegation of Kurdistan Region officials on Thursday morning, August 5, to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and would hold meetings with some Iranian officials and officials of some other countries that would addend the ceremony.

The KRG representative in Tehran added in the interview on Tuesday that the Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament, Ms. Riwaz Fayeq, would arrive in Tehran on an official visit at 6:30 pm this Wednesday, along with a delegation of regional officials.

Regarding the role of the Kurdistan Region in resolving the problems in Iraq and the region, Dabbagh stressed that the Kurdistan Region plays an important and effective role in resolving the problems and issues related to Iraq, which is currently in a difficult situation and under the supervision of anti-terror forces and as always, relations are expected to continue and strengthen, and the role of the Kurds in solving the problems of the region and Iraq and maintaining the security and stability of the region and the Kurdistan Region is important and effective.

Nachirvan Barzani's accompanying delegation includes Safin Dizayee, head of the KRG foreign relations, Muhammad Muhammad Saeed, Minister of Culture and Youth, Ms. Kwistan Muhammad, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, and Riwaz Fayeq, Kurdistan Parliament Speaker, as well as Nazim Dabbagh.
