Negotiation with ENKS is a strategic issue, PYD official tells KurdPress

<p style="text-align: left;">The head of Communications Relations of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the Euphrates region stated that were Sheikh Saeed Piran and Sheikh Reza Dersimi members of the PKK who were attacked? No. The issue of Turkey is the destruction of Kurds and their quest for justice.

Bakr Haj Issa, the head of the communications relations of the PYD in the Euphrates region, told KurdPress about the negotiations between the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) and the Kurdish Patriotic Union Party (PYNK) that &ldquo;the enemies of the Kurds have not only made borders for the Kurds but have also made borders in their minds in order to sew rifts among them. I think dividing the minds is more dangerous than dividing borders. A large number of parties have been established in the Syrian Kurdistan since the 1950s, but unfortunately, the enemies have infiltrated into them and have left a big influence on them. Over the years, they have divided the Kurds though the impact on them.

From the beginning of the crisis in Syria, the Democratic Union Party acted as a revolutionary center and started to act which its roots go back to the 2004 move in Qamishlo. During the events of 2011, other Kurdish political parties were unable to reach agreement and unity, and some Kurdish parties brought themselves closer to the revolution movement that is dominated by the Brotherhood movement, he further said.

He went on to add that from the beginning of the crisis in Syria the Democratic Union Party played like a revolutionary center. The attempt started in 2004. In the 2011 events the other Kurdish parties failed to reach unity and an agreement and some other Kurdish parties sided with the opposition which is under the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The PYD started to act and formed an organized self-ruling system along with the participation of 25 other parties and leads a process called the National Alliance Parties in order to negotiate with the other Kurdish sides. Today, the Peoples&rsquo; Protection Units (YPG) and the Women&rsquo;s Protection Units (YPJ) are a source of proud for the region, and their military gains has prompted other parties to join their ranks and become a part of self-managing system.

Bakr Haj Issa stressed that as the Democratic Union Party, we welcomed the demand of the commander Mazloum Abdi (Mazloum Kobani) and attended the Kurdish-Kurdish talks and reconciliation in the Kurdish home. The military achievements are a fact and should be protected and it requires political action and a Kurdish- Kurdish alliance.

Pointing to the happiness of the Syrian Kurdish people from the deal made between the Kurdish parties, the official explained: &ldquo;the request of General Mazloum Kobani and U.S. support for negotiations between the Kurdish parties has made the Kurdish people in Syria happy.

On the nature of the Kurdish opposition in Syria, he reiterated that there is no difference between the opposition and the central government on the Kurdish issue in Syria and both resist the Kurdish rights in the country.

Stressing on the importance of the deal with the ENKS, the PYD official in the Euphrates region said: &ldquo;Dialogue with the ENKS is a strategic issue. our unity could be a base for all ethnics living in northern Syria and would give the promise of the creation of a democratic Syria.

He further went on to say that: "chauvinists and racists blame our agreement and see it as a threat to themselves so the unity could be a base for holding the Kurdistan National Congress."

We have reached agreement on negotiating with the international community and the anti-IS coalition, but we need to reach an agreement on the administrative and military fields because there are many threats against the Syrian Kurdistan, Bakr Haj-Issa further told KurdPress.

Responding to the question that the Turkish foreign minister had threatened the ENKS for holding the talks with you, the PYD official in the Euphrates region stated: "The enemy has divided the Kurds to good Kurds and bad Kurds. According to the enemy of the Kurds, a good Kurd is a weak Kurds is weak that it has no power; but calls the Kurds who has a plan and is powerful a &lsquo;bad Kurd&rsquo; and everyone knows the reality.&rdquo;

He stressed that &ldquo;our friends in the ENKS were with the Syrian opposition and they were a proud of Turkey, but when they entered into a dialogue with the Patriotic Union parties, they (Turkish officials) started blaming them. When the ENKS has no power, it is their friend, and it becomes their enemy when it becomes strong.

He further noted that he had said earlier that if the ENKS leads the People's Protection Forces [YPG], Turkey would attack them again. Turkey won&rsquo;t attack the PYS but it attacks anywhere that the Kurds are becoming powerful. Turkey claims it attacks northern Syria because the Democratic Union Party and the Kurdistan Workers' Party are one, but is the NKS a part of PKK? Then why does it attack them too?

The PYD communications official in the Euphrates region further said were Sheikh Saeed Piran and Sheikh Reza Darsimi the members of the PKK in the past decades when they were attacked? No, the Turkish issue is the destruction of Kurds and their quest for justice. Turkey considers any Kurd that is politically active and seeks its rights, to be a member of the PKK.

On the relationship between the PYD and PKK, Bakr Haj Issa said, "We have no organizational relationship with the PKK and our relationship with the PKK is the same as our ties with other Kurdish parties in other parts of Kurdistan. We are a Syrian Kurdish party and we are in Syrian Kurdistan. We are not an enemy of anyone and do not invade anyone; we only fight for our rights.

He added: &ldquo;We have not sought hostilities with Turkey and are seeking reconciliation and peace, and we want to bring brotherhood to all nations; and as we live with other ethnicities in northern Syria, we wish friendship and brotherhood for all other nations.

He pointed out that no dictatorship will remain forever; &ldquo;Saddam is gone, but the Kurds remained in Iraq and this is a historical lesson that neither dictatorship nor oppression will remain forever. So we want brotherhood and friendship in the Middle East.

The communications official of the Democratic Union Party in the Euphrates region concluded that &ldquo;our power is in our unity and we must protect our achievements with a national congress.&rdquo;
