Iraqi army sends equipment to Syria border

<p style="text-align:left">The commander general spokesman of the Iraqi army stated the army has sent military equipment to the border with Syria in order to provide security at the border and, therefore, prevent terrorists' entrance into Iraq.

According to Al-Maalomeh news agency, Brigadier Yahya Rasul stated that Iraqi borders have been equipped with news technologies and night cameras and drones and the border is under control, noting that "military operations are continuing in separate parts of the country, Anbar, Jazira and western Nainawa in particular in order to prevent terrorists from entering into the country."
Referring to the participation of the army, Hashid Al-Shaabi and Iraqi border forces in the operation, the commander added that the goal behind the operations is to destroy the remnants of the Islamic State (IS) in different parts of the country.
The military top official stated that the Iraqi military forces command has called for the settlement of military units and monitoring posts on border with all neighbouring countries and preventing terrorists from entering into the country, especially from deserts, adding that the Iraqi government wants a severe control on Syria border.
