According to the New York Times, the video of Donald Trump's rival Joe Biden released a statement last December in which he explained to the newspaper's editors that he was concerned about Erdogan's treatment of the Kurds in Turkey.
Biden stressed the need to change the US approach to Turkey and support its opposition leaders. The Democratic nominee for next Fall's election says he is very concerned about Recep Tayyip Erdogan's approach to the Kurds, his military cooperation with Russia, and his access to US bases.
Biden underscored that support for the Turkish opposition leaders should pave the way for Erdogan's defeat, but through the elections, not a coup.
