In an interview with KurdPress, Hussein Mostu, a member of the political school of Al-Party said that this was not the first time that Turkey had cut off water in the Hasaka region in northern Syria. It has cutt off the water on millions of people. This is a disgrace to Turkey and the powers that are in northern and eastern Syria today.
He added: "This scandal also targets the international coalition against the IS, as well as the United States and Russia, which consider themselves the owners of Syria today."
"We are raising our voices to the whole world and we want the governments that are present on Syrian soil today to find a solution to Turkey's anti-humanitarian policies. Turkey is their strategic partner and this behavior is wrong and inhumane and it is necessary to put pressure on Ankara,” the party official added.
"Turkey is pursuing political and economic goals, and both the United States and all of Russia are responsible for this inhumane policy of Turkey," he further said.
Referring to Turkey's position in NATO Treaty, Mostu said: "Turkey is a part of the NATO alliance, which adheres to legal laws that oppose targeting civilians; so why should Turkey continue to behave in this way?"
Hussein Mostu stressed that Turkey and the Syrian opposition, which includes the Free Syrian Army, are seeking to hit the Kurds and are trying to put pressure on the people by cutting off water.
He added: "As the Al-Party, we call on all groups involved in this policy, especially Turkey and Russia, to abandon this policy and not to play with the lives of one million people in Hasaka, because other than Kurds there are Arabs, Armenians and Turkmen who also live in the city.
