According to Shafaq News, the office of the Kurdistan Regional Government issued a statement and said that Barzani and Salih discussed the political situation in Iraq and the Kurdish region and discussed the importance of joint efforts and facilities to overcome crises and resolve disputes between the two governments.

According to the statement, in part of the meeting, the two sides stressed on the need to resolve the outstanding issues between the Kurdish region and the federal government in accordance with the constitution and ordinary laws, as well as to protect the economic rights of citizens and employees of KRG and other parts of Iraq and avoid any discrimination.

According to the statement, Barzani and Salih also discussed recent developments in the region and the need to expand Iraq's relations with countries in the region and the world.
