Referring to Kurdish hopes for the election of Joe Biden as the new president of the United States and their expectation of more US support for the Kurds, Yervan Saeed said that the Kurds should solve their own problems instead of relying on the US government.
"They need to focus on what they can do to solve their problems," he wrote in a note in Al Jazeera English.
Mr. Saeed stressed that the Iraqi Kurds must strengthen Kurdish institutions, reduce internal tensions, and expand the rule of law while expanding freedom of expression.
