Contrary to the Turkish government claims, The SDF denied in a statement any involvement in the rocket attack on a convoy of Turkish police in the Jarablus area.

The SDF media center denied allegations by the Turkish government and media that a missile had been fired at a Turkish police convoy in the Jarablus area, killing two police officers.

The Turkish government claimed that the attack was carried out by the People's Defense Units (YPG), a key component of the SDF. Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu also claimed that the attack was carried out by the YPG with a guided missile.

"Our forces had nothing to do with the bombing of Jarablus near the Turkish border," the SDF said in a statement. "We believe that this is a repetitive game [of the Turkish intelligence service] and was carried out by the militants under their auspices. This is the game of the [Turkey President Recep Tayyip] Erdogan's regime, and the Turkish people know this very well."
