US Congressman says Erbil should resume its oil export

A member of the American Congress called for the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, saying: "It is necessary to implement the provisions of the agreement concluded between Erbil and Baghdad regarding oil export from the Kurdistan Region."

According to Sharpers Eliza Slotkin, a representative of the American Congress, expressed the concerns of American companies that operate in the region's energy sector and stated this issue of the Region's oil export had been presented to the Congress and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs several times, but Iraqi law says the income of this country must be shared and is for all Iraqis.
Eliza Slotkin said: "I am trying to draw the attention of the American government to Iraq, so that the ambassador and consul general to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be active in this regard and use their potential in this affair."
She went on to say: "The provisions of the agreement cannot remain on paper."
