According to Shafaq News, the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office said in a statement that Kadhimi, had a telephone conversation with British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss on various issues.
"In the phone call, Kadhimi and Truss discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop and expand the ties in the political, economic and investment fields," the statement said.
The two sides also traded views on developments in the region and the pivotal role of Iraq in strengthening its stability.
The statement added Kadhimi and the British Foreign Secretary also discussed future co-operation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism, the pursuit of ISIS remnants and joint coordination between Baghdad and London to end the international coalition's combat role to make it a consultative, assisting and empowering role.
