A source in the global anti-ISIS coalition forces in the Kurdish capital, Erbil, told Sharpress that several drones attacking the US-led World Coalition base around Erbil on Sunday evening were detected by radars.

The source added that the drones had threatened coalition advisers and that coalition forces had been notified of the attack through the Iraqi Air Force radar system and had been told that drones had targeted the base.

It also stated that coalition forces had destroyed the drones after identifying them and prevented the drones from hitting their intended targets.

Earlier, Erbil airport and the coalition base at the airport were repeatedly targeted by drones.
