According to Russia Today, Allawi expressed hope in a message on his Face Book page that the new Iraqi government would be formed as soon as possible.

He called on Iraqi political parties which have won seats in the new parliament to hold a meeting soon in order to prepare a national plan according to a real partnership for forming a national government.
