In a statement on his official Facebook account, Maliki said Iraq and its sovereignty is not under serious threat as political factions are divided while regional and international players interfere in the Iraqi politics, BasNews reported.
Maliki said that foreign interference in the political process in Iraq would be the reason for a possible civil war in the country.
Maliki further wrote that Iraqis should not take the path which “regional and world states” want.
Iraq is stuck in the political row between sides since the May parliamentary elections. The largest coalition which could form the next government is yet to be established.
